would a short shift work?

i dont know if its just me being fat and havin sort arms or the car. when i tend to change gear it feels soo far away and i feel my self lean to change the gear :S would a short shift link work at all??

i think they just reduce the travel between the gears so there wont be much movement 3rd will be closer 4th more in the middle so it would i think

I fitted one of these a couple of months ago, very happy with it.
Reduces shifting travel a good amount, enables quicker gear changes, noticeably shorter shifting

I've heard you've got to be somewhat moderate in use though as it could possibly eat your gearbox if you over-do it and snap between gears quickly all the time.
