Would fitting new dampers....

GGGrrrrr, oh well better get some lowering springs aswell ;)

just fitting shocks wont alter tracking at all unless A the old ones are bent or B its fitted with camber adjusting bolts and you dont mark there location when taking them off.
if changing ride height it will though

it will change the wheel alignment just by taking the front upright of and putting them back on will change it, not by much but it will change

Ok booked in at Demon Tweeks, they said the rear adjustment can be a git to do? Now i thought the rears had no adjustment!

Slightly off-topic but on the note of tracking/alignment;

Does the same apply to fitting springs on their own, or even if you swap alloys over too?

My steering wheels not straight either.

springs yes and alloys if they are the same size then no, if they are bigger or smaller then yes slightly as more pressure is put onto the rack.

Cheers for that - looking at sportlines soon along with refurbed FF alloys :) (car was bought with Cup alloys)
