Would it cost much more, if anything to remove aircon...

...at the same time as a aux & cambelt change?

Also, I'm guessing I can still keep the CC unit?

28kg less in the car :) Nice idea if You'r heatproof ;)
One roller goes out i guess, so the aux belt must be shorter.

What he said ^

Dont use the aircon so theres no point it being there really. Cars due a cam/aux change so if it's not going to make the job any harder then I might get rid...

you need a Cup alternator, you'll also need a pas connecting pipe making up. I got a local fabricator to use a baided steel line on mine by cutting up the existing item, copper braised (sp?) it and it's good to go. Think there's something else you need, possibly the PAS return line from the Cup as well, canne remember.
I'm actually putting mine back in though, f**k weight, I'll just buy more power lol

you need a completely different bracket for the alternator, and the alternator itself and it's tensioning system is different. The belt is also shorter (and a lot cheaper)

As said you need one new PAS line and change the routing of the other line

Unless you find the cup brackets second hand they are mega expensive. You can use Volvo brackets IIRC, Im not sure which ones though. PM Burp, I think he's used them.

You know 95% of the time you will never use it, i avoided it unless its a must.. but would never remove it because you know the'll be just one time during the year that you'll wish you had aircon, take my instance, all dressed up ready to go out one summer evening ( if thats what you call it in england lol ) & i get stuck in traffic in the old 1.2.. no air con = sweaty/sticky by the time i got to my destination :dapprove: .. best of removeing all the spare wheel & jack shite & getting a can of the tyre filler can stuff, must be easiy 20+kg there
