Would you buy a 172 if....

it has 23k miles on the clock, 4 previous owners, one of them being as a demo car, the last owner had it for 2 years and its an 02 reg?

Looks totaly mint in the pics and I phoned the garage and they said that it's basically in brand new condition

just seems a bit curious to me?!?

if genuine sounds good - go and check it out - get an AA inspection done or something

Get it checked out! like said AA or rac can do this for you!

also worth a HPI to see if 23K is correct!

if all checks are good then it sounds like a minter!

4 years - one service?

So for the majority of the time the car has been running the same oil and filters? Ok its only done 23k.

I hate the fact that low mileage cars are hardly ever serviced. Surely its One Year OR 12k miles. Not just every 12k!

Due a service soon, get that included in with the deal and offer £5800.

It should of had a second service at 4 years old though, but should be fine considering the mileage.

I bought my 02 plate with 20k on it and it had 3 previous owners, it also had 3 stamps in the book though and all main dealers, mind it will be due a cam belt in the very near future too at 5 yrs old!!

hmmm I didn't think the cambelt would be due so soon...I'm not too worried about the lack of service history as it's more than likey done by the milage rather than one a year

I'll ask them...still if they dont service it I could always go to Ren-tech as it's not that far away...
