No, the limit for the road is 60. There isn't different limits just for a certain corners. Clearly you were going too fast, and you've paid the price. Just be thankful you didn't kill someone going the other way. Lesson learned, we hope.

I know I was going too fast, there are no warnings for that corner though, its practically blind. If I didn't know that road it would have been far worst. I am lucky that no one else was involved and im thankful that people came to make sure that I was ok.

If ur gna crash them do it right... Mine after i rolled it :dapprove:

There's a sign just behind your car, see it?

Im sorry I don't have x-ray vision to see through a sign when im going the opposite way.

There'll be a sign the other way as well.

Anyway what's it got to do with anybody else? I'm sure it's only young boy racers that dump their cars there.

I had this the other year in my old Punto. The roads were wet after a sunny spell and looked like spilt petrol but this was through Leeds. Then some old deer pulls out in front of my so i had to slow down, the thing locked up and I slid up onto the grass verge.

Epic roll though that one

Tunst didn't someone nick your car or something when it was like that?

And LOL @ Women rolling a car by looking at it. Too true.

Also Magic, stop trolling.

Bit harsh as none of us have actually seen/driven the road. Looking at that picture i would say 20-25mph round that corner is fine.

He just got unlucky.

There isn't, there is a welcome sign but nothing else. I drive that road very often so I know what is and isn't there. This is pointless arguing over anyway, I was hardly being a boy racer. I lost the back end in the rain and mashed into a bank, it's not like I was trying to look cool.

Stayed with the car and everything till it was being towed off, cleared pretty much everything I could from outside, just need to remove HU itself as I have the face-off for it.

Well its hardly Fcukin lucky is it !

It (at a guess, due to not having seen the road etc) ended up on its roof, due to the high banks either side.

Wow, someone missed my point. It's got nothing to do with luck.

Yeah, because he fucked up the corner by going too fast. It's been admitted now anyway.

Yeah, because he f**ked up the corner by going too fast. It's been admitted now anyway.

I fucked up the corner because there was something on the road that made the back end slide out, the fact I was going too fast for the weather wouldn't have had as much of an affect.

Not to good with point's yourself.
What i was getting at with my unlucky comment is, that i bet 100's of people go round that corner every year at 25mph + and dont end up on the roof. Hence the op being "Unlucky"

I know, if the first bank hadn't hit the steering to the left I would have just ended up rolling down the road and being able to stop in time. But because it smacked the wheels to the left it took me into the next one too.

Presuming you're OK pal?

To spin on that sort of corner you were going too fast for the conditions. Simples. I span on the motorway after hitting standing water and damaged my car. I'll happily admit 35 for the conditions was obviously too fast, didn't manage to catch the back end as it went light and ended up paying out for the repairs.

There is no shame in it pal, it's just good to know you're OK. Hope you get the car sorted :)

Yeah im 100% fine, I was going too fast but the back was lost because of whatever was on the road. Il admit if I was going slower it might not have slid the back out or I might have been able to correct it faster and not do as much.

Yeah hopefully get it sorted, insurance will be a pain though I would have thought.

Ouch, unlucky. As odd and unlikely as it seems to lose it and flip it at 20mph, glad you're okay. Hope you can get another car and get back on the road and learn from your mistake.

Magic, you're being a Bellend. Get off your high horse and shut up.

If you're TPFT insurance, i'm assuming you won't be getting paid out??

I'd have thrown the keys down the drain and staged a break in at your house.

Thanks, will be looking into getting another one soon enough, happens on the only day I have rain too. Typical

No pay out, was witnesses there that had already called police before id managed to get out of the car.

Don't inform your insurance. Pay any bills you get for recovery/storage etc. Your insurance WILL NOT pay out anyway as your only TPF+T. Informing your insurance will only put a crash against your name and will put your insurance up from now on.

Phone them up and cancel your insurance and get as much money back as you can.

Put it down to experience and move on. Hope you get sorted out soon mate, at least your ok, its only a car at the end of the day

I always imagine if I rolled a car and was strapped in my seat I turn and look at my passenger then piss myself. No idea why, I'd probably be dead. But that's the image I get hahahaha

Yeah im getting the insurance sorted out for it later, would be pointless telling them its a write off as my premium would rise.

I did finish listening to end credits, then realised I better turn the engine off as it was still running lol

Yeah it's called water, all public roads are greasy when wet!

My mate did this with his mums car when we were about 15. He got home, phoned the police, they came round and then the neighbours popped over. They had seen him take it and told the popo lol

To the OP. Similar thing happened to me, least your ok and no1 else was involved.

And I was told you don't have to tell your insurance as nobody else was involved and you didnt hit any posts or private property. But if you do change insurance companies and they ask, 'have you been in accident regardless of blame' ect, you do really need to tell them then. Just automatically renew with your current till the 5 years is up.

Yeah, but not in wet, slippery conditions in a car that doesn't handle well and has budget tyres. It's not a Trophy, you know.

So not flipping my car by driving badly is being on my high horse? *thumbs up*

A woman could roll a car by looking at it.
I can't believe that took 3 pages. It was actually the first thing that entered my mind.
If you're TPFT insurance, i'm assuming you won't be getting paid out??
It won't be classed as Cat-C either (as the OP states) because there will be no total loss declared. I'm sure Louise's boyf (Gally) will confirm though.

So every car that goes round that corner at 25mph+, in the rain, that is NOT a Trophy. Will end up on its roof ?

God i am so glad i am not you.

That's mighty impressive!

What have you learned from this?

Long periods of dry weather followed by a deluge of rain will always turn the roads to ice rinks as dust, rubber, dirt, mud etc. builds up in the dry and isn't washed away. Then the rain comes and for a few days you have to be careful just about everywhere you go.

Oh, and TPF&T is a false economy.
