Wrong oil?

My SERV and oil lights came on this morning so I got some before I came to work, only i think i got the wrong one as the garage didn't have much choice. Ended up getting Havoline Premium 15W-40 is this ok?

i only put a litre in so if i get some 5w-40 fully snthetic i should be ok?

if its only a lire then it should be ok but i would just do a full oil change at the weekend with 5w 40 fully synthetic for peice of mind!!

Should be fine - the 15 means it's a bit thicker when cold than 5w40 but it's warm now so will still circulate alright from start up.

The 40 is the minimum warm operating thickness so it's still the same as 5w40, therefore it shouldn't be a problem at all

Didn't you say the other day your car hadn't used a drop of oil in over a year?

Suddenly lost oil or is the oil gauge fcuked?

Gauge is crap, use the dip stick everytime..

check for leaks aswell if you have lost a litre
