I have been getting quotes on a bora. As said last week they where about £2800+. Now they are £5000+?

What has changed in the last week, is my point?

With Pass Plus, you need to take it within 1 year of passing your test and it then sticks with you for the rest of your driving career. It's what £100 with local council discount (if the Pass Plus instructor is registered)?

Gives you up to 30% discount with certain insurers which I'm yet to find but I've easily recouped the money I payed to do it over my 2 years of driving (having owned 2 RSs so been raped with insurance anyway). I'm 21 this year though, can't wait!

Well get them to quote you on a few then...

The vag does help, Vish. I also have no points.

The points did add a couple hundred IIRC.

I also forgot that I did Pass Plus before I took out my first years insurance. Saved around 20% most places, but Norwich Union gave me a 50% discount! Otherwise it would have been a few hundred quid more at the next cheapest place.

I think most companies only see pass plus as an advantage/discount if less than 2 years experience. Was worth it for the £150.

Pass plus halved my insurance on my first car, ph2 1.4 16v clio, down from £2500 to £1250 at 18 so definately worth it :)

That was 6 years ago mind...
