i was just shoppin around on the internet to see if anyone could beat my current insurance price (£1700 fully comp on a williams with lowering exhaust and interior mods 1yrs ncb 19 years old). I checked out http://www.insureyourmotor.comwww.insureyourmotor.com and they quoted me £8439.00 TPFT with £700 excess and i didnt even ask about mods. are these people atkin the piss ?

Whilst were on the subject Im 20, 4 years NCB, just got my renewal from Tescos at £1,757.00, down 800 on last years policy (yes thats about £2.5k!!).

What do we think? Any suggestions on who else to try?

go to http://www.confused.comwww.confused.com and enter youre details then they search 31 out of 34 insurers for you and give you a list of all the prices in order from cheapest to most expensive. i bet you http://www.insureyourmotor.comwww.insureyourmotor.com is at the bottom of the list takes about an hour for them to finish searchin for you.

£1176.95 completely standard. I pay less than that with a list of mods as long as your arm!

Mine is due in 2 weeks - renewal from Direct Line was 750, and Elephant about the same. "quote me happy" was a painfull 1900 odd! - told them that I was about to jump off something high now!

Tesco is owned by Directline so expect cheaper from DL. I was quoted 920 from Tesco.
