xbox 360 hd-dvd drive works on a pc !!!

yes it does so crikey hd dvd on a pc for a lot lot less than a blueray drive !!!

kiss my chuddies sony you bunch of corporate wanker scum :p

storage capacity really and cost !!!
also in more depth the codecs that are used and the bitrates but that means nothing to your average joe

erm not sure what you mean but you can connect up the hd-dvd drive via its usb cable to a pc and istall the udf 2.5 driver then read what ever is on the disk you then need some decoding software to decode the movie streams

ah im getting mixed up sorry.
Im thinking of hard drives.
Can i use a normal external hard drive on a 360 is what im after. lol
That way i can get the cheeper 360 pack.
I cant see any bonus in the hd-dvd drive as yet.

Most amps have discrete 6 or 7 channel input for attaching external decoders. So if you manage to get an x-box 360 drive to work on your PC, your PC should be able to decode HD audio and feed it to the amp via the analogue outputs.
