Xbox 360 Live Help

Good evening everyone,

I have finally got my Xbox hooked up to Live but I have an annoying problem. I seem to have two accounts. One is a Live account and one is a HDD account. When I log onto the net and look at my profile I can see my friends list but my points havent updated. If I look on my Xbox at my HDD account I see all my gamer points but if I then sign in and choose 'recover gamertag' it loads the Live account one with 0 points but with my friends.

Any idea how you make the console sign into live with my HDD account?

I think the problem started because I set up an account online and have exactly the same account on the Xbox as a local HDD one.

Any ideas?

Im afraid that you are going to have to get all your points again, the points that you had on your non-live account cannot be transferred to your live account.

Its a wounder.

KyleB - I know I found a guide on how to make my gamertag correct again but it was going to cost me 800 points so didn't bother.

I was up till 1am trying to sort the damn thing out. Luckily I had another Hotmail address (my old one) which I could use as my Windows Live account. I used that to assign my local gamertag too and then logged in using that.
My Gamertag is now: Munday182 (used to be Jaymz182).
