XBox to projector

I'm after a little help setting my xbox to my projector.

Unfortunately I cant afford a HDMI projector and got given this http://www.aboutprojectors.com/Sony-VPL-CS6-projector.html

Works fine running on my laptop and plays dvd's and skygo very well.

Now I want to setup my xbox just to see how it will play but I need the wires required to do this.

Just dont want to buy something that does not work.

when i had a projector all i did was use the same cables that go in the back of the tv, i think they are called s-video cables, looking at the projector you bought it says it has svideo connectivity so you shouldnt need anything as long as you have the svideo cable for the xbox, if yor used to playing in hd though you may be shocked by the poor quality of projectors, Even he hd ones arnt that great.

The problem I got is - I only have the HDMI cable that runs from the xbox to the tv. I dont have the other cables

Indeed thats what you need, a vga conenctor. You will need something for the audio though, a 2.1 system will do, something that take rca inputs...

I've got mine hooked up via the optical connector MS make, got it on ebay for a few quid.

In reference to the quality I have no issues with mine, a marked improvement over my TV actually (But then its in a blacked out loft lol)
