Dont have to setup the bridge every time, once its running it works perfectly well. f**k spending £60 on something I can have for free.
Though tbh I run it on ethernet cable now as the router sits on top of the xbox now lol
Is that with the connector that comes with the xbox? Like one of them phone plug things (dont know what they are called) lolgot wireless laptop?
You can hook the xbox to the laptop with an ethernet and then bridge the connection making the laptop the wireless adaptor.

+1 id also like to know this pleaseInteresting... Explain how you do this please,
> plug ethernet cable from xbox to your laptop,
> Start > Control Panel > Internet & Networks..
> Manage networks, and you can then see your Wireless icon,
> right click > properties > Sharing tab on top > then tick the first box " allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection" and ok,
Go to xbox, and try and join live,
mines doing, but keeps disconnecting ffs
Is there a cheaper way to get hooked up to the internet wirelessly on the xbox rather than buying their wireless router thing for £50??
I know you can get an ethernet cable but it would mean feeding it from the spare room through to my bedroom!
Will need to watch your firewall settings too, when i did it i had to fully switch off my firewall, not good.
That's because what you're doing there is essentially setting up the "Internet Connection Sharing" PC as a router. The Windows Firewall and the Routing and Remote Access service both use a file called ipnat.sys, which means both services can't be running at the same time.
You should still be able to run other third party firewall software though, such as ZoneAlarm or McAfee, so if it doesn't work you haven't configured the firewall correctly.
Ok, little problem, ive done exactly what the video and tried what everyone has said... Its not working though! As soon as I allow sharing in the local network, it wont let me access the internet! :S
Anybody have any idea what it is? Ive had a look on my security (Kapersky) and I cant see an option on there to change network sharing settings?!?!
We got it connected up and then it came with a pop-up saying you need to download an update otherwise you cannot proceed...
It then said that it cannot download the update :S ...
Could this maybe be because im not signed up to xbox live yet?
How do you sign up? Ive signed up on xbox.com, but surely you have to register your xbox? is there an option that im not seeing lolLOL yeah you need to be signed up first!
Sign up and you get a month free anyway!
