Xenon bulb fitment for 172/182

I have got some D2S bulbs for some 182 xenons and they fit in the bulb holders but not the headlamp itself.
Are these the right size or should I be fitting D2Rs?

D2S as far as I know mate.

Why wont they fit?

Ye think D2S are correct, there a b**ch to fit, just fiddle about with it

got them to fit, you have to do it in a particular order...

-put bulb in headlamp behind the wire pins
-make sure the rotating piece inside the ignitor is aligned with the holes
-place on top of bulb and twist into place
-secure electrical plug into ignitor
