Yup, Make sure that the motor for the leveling is fitted into the ball socket. This locates and holes the headlamps aim.

If after this they still "move" or face down, then the hedlamps is basicly a scrapper.

You will need a new outter "casing" - £150ish +vat from Renault each.

This will be because the internal holding clips are broken.

sometimes a ball joint inside comes undone.. it did on mine when i bought it... its a case of pulling the inner bit towards yourself... and it should click back in..

yea they are all in place will it be anything to do the the bit you need an allen key to move it?

allen key to adjust it manually on the back..... i had to do it when i put them on my car... make sure the adjuster inside on the dash is set to 0 beforehand though...

the adjusters you mean? try using the allen key and turning them to see if they face any further upwards.

Edit: Dam you F0xy...

yea will have a look tonight, 1 of them is brand new and is still sitting on the bottom of the unit

hehe

i put mine on the car and didnt realise they were pointing further down than they should be....drove to stoke from manchester to a meet and then back again with the headlights only reaching 1m in front all the way back, scary!

i then used an allen key to adjust them to the right position, but before i did that made sure the dash leveller was set to 0 so i can always point them down using the dial if need be...

i can use the adjust on the inside and it moves the beam but when i look at the unit its still sat at the bottom resting :S

hmm im not entirely sure then....cant say ive noticed mine pointing down....even though the first time i fitted them and turned them on i heard a motor going as if they were resetting position wise...

both of mine were from matt black and seem to be pointing correctly....il check when i get the car back though

found the problem on 1 the housing that the xenon bulb is has snapped away from the bit that is at the bottom , lucky enough its the 1 i got from matt black so going to phone them up tmoz and get a new 1 sent out,

and ive got the other 1 here now so going to fiddle with the allen key on that
