lots of people use the Pipercross Viper kit in 172s, but a change of panel filter in the standard airbox will give you the same gains at a fraction of the price.

you should be aiming to improve handling, not make it worse. Therefore i would suggest a set of Eibach Pros (10mm drop) or Eibach Sportlines (30mm drop). Both of which will improve handling

Full exhaust system, air filter and suspension are a good place to start.

looks wise... a cup spoiler and front splitter will finish it off nicely.

look in the gallery on the main page, loads in there

as induction kits go everybody has their own opinion on them.

there are a few IKs:

BMC CDA £160, viper £250, ITG maxogen £370, Yozzas quickshift £225 to name a few.

I would say go for what ever you like and wot you can afford.

they do make 60mm springs Pi do a set IIRC but i would go for coilovers.

as for number 3 i agree with fubar.

IIRC they dont do a 60mm spring kit for the sports if you want it low, coilovers are the only realistic option.
