As above really I was thinking of tyres choices and this tyre looks like a great design but has anyone on here used it and can you tell me what its like?

many thanks

think this has made my mind up then really, was thinking the toyo proxes ! I have not got big £££'s to spend on them see

Toyo proxes are pants too. I just changed them to paradas. Personal preference I suppose.

If your on a budget I rate the hankook v12 k110's, i've also heard pretty good things about the k115's. Although as always with tyres get the best you can afford.

I've run both Parada spec2 and T1R, they're fine. People with an issue in the wet should probably slow down when it rains. If you still think they're bad, try some AUTOGRIP tyres. they're bad.

It's all relative really. I know T1R's wont grip as well in the wet, but they're very predictable and progressive in the way they start to slide. Paradas are better, but similar, but wear faster.

If you want really good wet performance, I'm still impressed by Dunlop SP sport's

Got it spot on Dan I always wonder why people say paradas are shocking in the wet, yes they aren't they best but you have to be driving like a complete nob in the wet to consider them shocking.

I've had 10k out of my Paradas I think.

Great dry tyre for the money, very fun and progressive on the edge. In they wet they're not amazing, but I have no interest in going for blasts when it's raining so it's not a problem.

Parada's are without doubt the best tires iv ever fitted to the 172.

This bad in the wet lark is absolute rubbish. A total myth - The wear rate is 10 times better than toyo garbage as well

pradas were ok that i had fitted very happy with them. but i still think the best tyres i have had on the 172 were uniroyal rainsport 2 tyres. fantastic in the dry and in the wet were unbelievable

funny you should say that my next door neighbour has just fitted some AUTOGRIP tyres to his Bora, I had never heard of them before.

They're definitely quite shocking in the wet, I have to feather my ph1 like a gran-tard. Pretty good in the dry though

i find that even driving quickly not like a nob but 'just want to getting home' driving is scary in the wet and my paradas still have quite a bit of tread left imo of course

For quick road driving they're fine, bit sketchy in the wet, wouldn't go near a track on them.

For a dedicated road tyre for the summer they're f**king fantastic. Especially considering the price, 400 quid for 4 in my size is a bargain. Compared to 600 for conti's :(

well cheers guy for the comments I now think that its an ok tyre to have! Like you say if you drive like a nob in the wet you are asking for it really ! and if someone has had 10k in them then thats fine with me. Whats the average wear rate on a trye on a 172/182? comments ??

Depends on how you drive. I used to get about 10-12k out of my front Conti sport contact 2/3.

I dont drive that hard just every now and then really ! had avons zz3 which were fitted before and they were a good tyre but bold at 10k !

I had Paradas on my Ph1. Epic in the dry, great tyre IMO. Needs a psi or two below book figure to get the best out of them.

They're OK in the wet in my experience. Comedy progressive handling which TBH I absolutely loved. 100x better than budgets on the GFs old 182. That was snap happy at 15mph. Don't drive like a clown on any tyre in the wet anyway.

I think I got about 15k and swapped front>rear while there was plenty of life left. Fronts were about 1/2 worn out IIRC. I didn't drive like Miss Daisy either. Clearly I'm just like Jenson... kind to rubber :D

Thought the paradas were average at best, only good for a road tyre that you drive mildly quick on the road and I mean midly. Anything else and there pants but for the money they cant be beaten. I'd personally go for some Hankook V12 Evos, far better grip in the dry, much improved wet grip yet last ages with good mileage! Think there only £10-15 more a tyre which isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things.
