Yorkshires Daily Dci 100 - Plasti Dip

Car  172 + 350z
Thought I should actually post something up, seen as though the car has now changed!

I started doing a lot more miles and I decided I needed something diesel. I shopped around a lot and did quite a bit of research. Nearly bought a seat Leon Cupra 1.9tdi but decided it would be cheaper as a daily to get another clio.
All three clios I had at the time! Still have the turbo'd silver one but sold the monoco.

Then it started to bug me how plain it looked along with the faded paint

I was going to buy all the sport kit and spray it red but as it was faded in parts it wouldn't have been right.
Looked into my options and found a local guy who was very knowledgable and decided on a plasti dip wrap.

(6 different cars now all in one!)

Anyways it got sprayed yesterday and here is the result

Got lots of little things to do, like led bulbs and wind deflectors. Also want to get it lowered as it looks like a 4x4!

Not sure how the plasti dip will hold up but will find out :)

Love the matte grey!! Can I ask how much it cost to have it done? Really fancy changing the colour of mine.

Thanks for the comments :) Coilovers should be coming this week if i get chance to order them. Might need spacers on the front, but will see how it looks once dropped.

Small update changed the sidelights to suit the xenons, looked silly having a bright white headlight and then yellow sidelights.

Thanks for the comments, totally agree with the lowering [emoji106]
I am from near Malton (where the big breakfast meet is) but also in York half the week.

Added wind deflectors last night.
Always added them to all of my cars but not quite sure if they suit this one, will see tomorrow once the car gets its first wash, will find out how the plasti dip holds up.

Fitted a full sport interior today :)
Only issue is the drivers seat won't move on the runners and it's right back [emoji23]

I have also fitted led bulbs to the interior light, boot light, number plate light and reverse lights. Much better than standard in my opinion.

Plans for the next few weeks are Coilovers, spacers, few more bulbs, restore the headlights and also get the alloys powder coated.

Did you refit the spacers under the seats?
No spacers can cause them to catch on the carpet.

As far as I am aware I didn't remove them. I am hoping it's just got twisted ever so slightly when tightening so won't run straight. Will loosen the bolts tomorrow

Check the runners aren't bent had this problem last week when I was fitting mine, loosened the bolts and it would move tightened down and it wouldn't

So finally managed to get spacers and Coilovers fitted! Here are a couple of images

Couple of images all fitted and settled, really am pleased now. Still need rear spacers and a few bits of detailing along with getting the alloys powder coated. Also have a fabia splitter to fit

Comments welcome

Looks much better now its lowered and spacered. Really like the car colour and the wheel colour.

Thanks both of you :)
Yer the Plasti Dip seems to hold up ok, will get some pictures in the next few days of touch ups I am going to do.
It does mark and rip slightly easier than I thought. I notice it more with it been a different colour underneath so shows up easier, where as with paint it tends to mark the lacquer and can polish it out
