Yozza Exhaust

  LY R26 #288
Has anyone got any videos of inside their 182 with a yozza exhaust or yozza + decat.

Want to see how loud they are, I'm considering one.

Whats peoples experiences with Yozza's when driving normally etc. I know they sound immense when you open them up.

I just dont want an exhaust thats going to make me ears bleed with normal driving and make people shout abuse and laugh because your exhaust is so loud lol.

Thanks for clearing that up Fred. I have searched, Honest!. Couldn't find that one though. I do love the raspyness of it. And it seems your right it doesnt seem to boom through the cabin.
They arent that loud at all.

I have one with a cat, and a stripped out interior and it doesnt bother me at all.

I have some inboard videos from my road trip last year:

im getting a milltek fitted soon, i looked into yozza, very loud, sound lovely at idle when starting up, but noticed when i was following a clio with a yozza, they sounded droney at 80mph, i do a bit of motorway journeys here and there and i was after just a nice throaty sound that wasnt too loud and milltek is definatly what i was looking for, sounds perfect. if your local to me i let you listen to it when i get it on the 5th of march lol. good luck on your conquest.

Yeah, its not as bad for me. My daily commute to work is like 10-15mins long so it wouldnt bother me there. And 90% of the time when I go out its for a blast anyway, which is the appropriate time for noise lol.

well i will advise you to get a yozza exhaust, because when you blast it, you will have a fat smile on your face, just i couldnt cope with it lol, but sound lovely on a start up tho.

They are loud, anybody who says they ain't has bad hearing (prob due to the yozza).

I'm running decatted yozza, its silly loud, people hear you coming from behind in their own cars.

Don't get me wrong, I fooking love it and do 250 motorway miles a week with it, but got to be constantly aware that you're bringing loads of attention to you and your car.

That's because it's decatted..... ANY exhaust will be loud with a decat.

here we go again

can all those who say they're loud please define their meaning of the word please! in what way are they loud (be accurate)??

Iv had a yozz and decat for a good few months now and I ruddy love it! Amazing rasp when you open up! Iv also driven 4+ hour journeys and its fine slightly droney inside but if u have music on you can't hear it! Plus 70mph on the cruise control and you hardly notice it! :) I would reccomend one any day of the year!

Just got back from getting my Yozza, Nicely fitted thanks to Pearce's mechanic. All I can say is I'm not going anywhere near a decat!. Its loud enough as it is. The noise from 5k+ is just insane :rasp:. Its a tad on the loud side but it does put a smile on your face. To be fair I done a 200 mile (4 hour) motorway journey with it on and it didnt bother me at all at 70mph. I'm very pleased with it, although feel a bit chavvy? lol. Atleast its not on a 1.2 corsa I suppose!.

WTF??!! With the cat in place the yozza is very unobtrusive IMO. Louder than standard but a far cry from being loud. Lovely tone to it not chavvy, farty or droney at all just purposeful/powerful sounding.

Some of the shirt lifters posting in this thread want to spend some time in a 172 with a supersprint decatted race system fitted to give you some sort of perspective on what loud is.

I had an RS192 on it before and the Yozza is quiet a bit louder inside. I'm not complaining, I love it. Rasssssssssssssssspppppp!

jrs182 - whats the rs192 like......mines being fitted tomorrow. whould like to hear your thoughts with living with one

thanks

Their not a bad exhaust. Getting the tail pipes lined up in the bumper cut outs is a bit of a ball ache.

Their quiet nice sounding, just a little louder than standard. Very easy to live with. Cruising on the motorway at 70mph, you probably wouldn't even know it was there.

Disconnecting your acoustic valve seems to make it a little louder if your into that sort of thing.

The reason I swapped was because I wanted to try a Yozza after seeing so many people raving about them on here. And I wanted somthing a little louder.

  LY R26 #288
Yeah the Scorpion is great value. I'm sure you'll be happy with it. Like I say an induction kit or disconnecting your acoustic valve will make it louder, and if thats not enough you could always decat it.

  LY R26 #288
Well I disconnected the cold air feed from the airbox aswell as putting a panel filter in. Makes a hell of a difference to noise.

  LY R26 #288
No idea mate. Just the noise I think. I think a lot of people take the cold air feed out as it doesn't make any difference but you get the noise. Search it up.

  LY R26 #288
Not the one underneath the airbox, the one thats easy accessible. The one with the acoustic valve on the other end of it iirc.

I fitted my Yozzasport last week. Its a fantastic piece of workmanship!

Although had a few fitting issues, when i hung it on the hangers it sits off to the right to the degree of touching the bumper (tried jigging it about but that was just how it rested on the hangers) :S Ive bolted it all up which has helped a bit but I've had to zip tie the hangers to bring it over into the center.

As for the sound It sounds amazing from the outside and low down in the revs inside the car it can be 'boomy' but its by know means stupid loud! I think people without them hear stories and things get blown out of proportion, or it could be because my last car was throttle bodies with no filtration now that was loud!

  LY R26 #288
have you slackened the bolts on the hangers and tried adjusting it like that? Once the bolts are loose you can slide the hangers for some adjustment.

Mine sits pretty central, it just needs raising up a bit with some bigger sockets in the mounts.

  Yozza'd RB cup
Slackend the bolts on the center to back box flange? I meant before the center section was even on.

I tried sliding it at different angles on each hanger but it always hung to the right also the right tip is and 8th of an inch shorter than the left but thats bust me being pedantic!

It looks superb now and have it hanging nice and level (new mounts) and with the zip tie correcting the angle its fine.
