The 90's at it's best/worst, tbh I wish I had a spare grand, bit of a tidy up and you could make a few quid off that.
At Ford Fair 2015, great stand in the Paddock and lots of interest.
Will be at Seighford (nr Stafford) tomorrow (16 Aug.), will take the RS 2000 and trying to persuade the missus to bring the Clio.

Saw this at Ford fair was talking to the owner hes a Honda tech 396bhp in a mk1 ! was awesome looked factory too . said it was the 5th different engine it's had:smile: my favourite car of the day just for the work involved alone !

Yep, if we knew then what we know now we'd have been buying as many old Fords for peanuts as we could and sitting on them, be f*cking minted by now.
As long you had somewhere dry to store them, otherwise they'd just be piles of rust by now, but it was only 10 years ago they being flogged for £300 quid as no f*cker wanted them.

Dude i sold my MK2 Mex for £400, would be worth £20k now.
Im still selling bits off of my MK2 XR2 that i broke up 4 years ago.

My father in law scrapped (for 25 quid iirc) a lotus Cortina.
I'll get a picture of it next time im up his house. Silly old sod.
It wouldn't start one morning so he towed it to the scrapper. Went out and bought a brand new 1892 XR3.
Not bad for a man with zero interest in cars.

I think even back then people knew the Lotus Cortina was the desirable model, well you'd hope so, I couldn't bare the thought of it going in the crusher, the MK1's go for £50k these days.

I can have a go at this too. These are the Fords that I currently own...
First off is this MIGHTY 1.4 Ford Escort Equipe (no it's not an Orion, they changed the naming convention in 1993). Was in the same family all it's life and has done about 70k. I had one of these as my first car and had to have another. One day I will get round to restoring it and fitting a naughty engine.
I am also currently rebuilding this MK5 RS2000 stage rally car. I've owned it about three years. It looked like this when I bought it:
I didn't like the wheel arch extensions, and it is getting some upgrades, so it currently looks like this:
I also own all this:
Which used to be this; an Escort F2 Kit Car. I have a lot of work ahead of me:
