If you ever read the Top Gear Magazine back in the early 2000s it had a list of every manufacturer and every car on sale. Each company had a little dit, stuff like best model, worst model etc. The description for Renault was 'quirky french manufacturer with often suicidal design tendencies'

You know what's funny I was making an estimate the other day and the sub model list on a basic MK3 was about 19/20.

They should have just done a 220 Trophy-R, proper LSD, Recaro’s, Brembo’s, perhaps an Tyre choice, Cup 2’s maybe and a few other bits and bobs, and even if they did that and charged like 25-27k people would still buy one.

Renault are aiming at the masses unfortunately, sales/money talks. They can't afford not to try and compete with other manufacturers which is to detriment of us purists! At least the RS Megane comes with a manual option.

renault cocked up with not getting the rs200t right and they are just getting worse
How can they say adding some black and carbon make a special edition ,
Mind you renault say the carbon air vents change the airspeed and make the side windows dentist quicker ,

More downforce etc

If renault had added recaro seats , brembo brakes and a decent exhaust to the 200T
They would have wiped the floor in the hot hatch bracket
But instead of doing this they added a stupid sound system that can make the car sound like a Nissan GT-R or a motorbike
For f**k sake it’s a car not a motorbike and if I wanted it to sound like a gtr I would have bought a f**king gtr
And the spaceship sound they added it doesn’t sound like any space ship I’ve heard it’s more like a dolphin farting under the water
f**k sake renault get your act together and speak to the guys out in the field about what they want in a car

This is the ONLY thing they needed to do. If they had done I would have bought one instead of a Fiesta ST. I almost did, even with the EDC 'box, but just couldn't convince myself to do it.

The reason Renault haven’t changed it from a Trophy is because it’s very good as it is. I like the black with the graphics etc and I can’t understand why you slate things which you have never driven. Not long ago the Clio 3 rs was rubbish.
