Changed my wheels for 15" yesterday and the rear springs for ebech. For life of me I Cant move the front springs don't really have the right tools. So I'm having a mate help me next week. All 4 wheels are now 15", I poped up to helfrauds to see if I could get a 21mm swan neck but nope. On way back the abs, service and the car sliding light came on! Terrified me. So I stopped turned ignition of and back on and it was gone.

Is this just the break sensor being dumb?? Or could it be worse? If it was abs ring? Or sensor wouldn't it be on all the time? Just asking.

If you scan it with clip a fault code will be stored. I personally would just drive it until the light is on all the time then diagnose and fix as it might have just had a hissy fit. Are all tyres the same size ?

Rattle gun best for the strut tops ive never managed a clio set with swan neck spanner

Damn, I managed to get one loose with a swan neck. But the other had no chance. I might have to drop it to a garage mates but got a rattle gun. Sucks for a simple job got to pay out. Unless I can get a rattle gun for £20. Would impact screwdriver do it? My old man's got one.

Any decent ocal garage will blat it loose for free and nip it up with a spanner to get it off at home. They are a pain in the arse to do without

have the car sitting on the ground, not jacked up, get a 21mm socket or the swan neck on it and give it a fast pull, nice fast jolt. you dont have to have the 6mm allen key in when you do it.

Use a shifting spanner on 21mm plug socket and put a 6 mm hex key through the centre to hold the strut shaft.

Most local garages to me are a pain in the ass. And mostly chains. I doubt they'd do it for free.
Worth a try tho.

Been there, done that, didn't move at all. The driver side did. But the passangerside just spins around and makes an awful clinking noise. Like the springs pinging

The strut shaft is spinnning. The hex key should stop that. Check whether the hex hole is stuffed.

Yea it's spinning. But I don't have a decent alen key. I have those screwdriver ones. So I can't get a good grip it's okay for now, a mate with a rattle gun coming Tuesday for now it's okay to drive. I managed to move the spring so it's not hitting the side wall. But I won't be doing long journeys with it till they changed. No longer than 5 mins.
