Bosch VS Renault rear abs sensor

  monaco 172
This one is UK based, so has cheaper shipping prices, though having bought a speedo sensor off eBay for a total of £7.50 including postage from Latvia,

I cannot see how they can justify UK delivery of £8.

Has anyone thought of enquiring the price from a Dacia dealer?

Although a different name that's identical to the site I ordered from which is actually a German company with German stock.

They shipped it today with DPD so fingers crossed it might be here at the weekend.

My local Renault dealer is also the dacia dealer so assume as the part number is the same it's probably the same case that it's discontinued?

Not so sure, thought it was used on Dacia models up to 2014.

Cannot see the owner of a 4 year old car being amused at being told that.

Triscan seem to be a company on the up, so I`m sure it will be fine.

Well, my rear right German sensor has just arrived.

It looks correct, so we shall see if it fits, just need some decent weather!

  monaco 172
Well, I plugged in the sensor and the abs light went off so at least I know Id diagnosed the right sensor and also the German special seems to work.

Hopefully itl fit into the hub with no problems but that's a job for the weekend.

But fingers crossed it looks like triscan sensors are the answers to all our discontinued abs sensor problems!

I got the Triscan 818025205 part from Germany from Heck. Under a Dacia part number which was the same as the Renault part number. Works just fine for eight months now.

Can confirm the triscan part fits perfect.

No idea what all this talk of cup packed sensor is.

My god it was a pain to shift. Stub axle off and had to smash the living shite out of the sensor as the screw was rounded.

Hi,
I’m having the same problems sourcing an ABS sensor. Do either of you have the website you bought yours off?
Thanks :)

Thanks, that’s the one I’ve ordered! Unfortunately I need the left rear sensor which has the opposite plug to this one (male to female) so I’ll have to swap them and hope it works! ? who thought parts which also fit a 2014 Dacia would become obsolete so quickly!

Oops, I think the actual sensor is the same so you will just have to swap the plugs over. Autodoc do do the other side though.

Has anybody actually contacted dacia with a parts enquiry?

I thought parts had to be stocked for 10 years.

Yeah? I’m just swapping the plugs, so that the working sensor is attached. Couldn’t think of another’s option. AutoDoc are out of stock on all brands which make the left sensor (ie. with different plug) unless you can find me one- which would be fantastic!

Contact Triscan themselves.

Maybe someone has not paid their bill, & their account is on stop. Hence no stock.

It came from this website^
Play around with how you phrase the search criteria, sometimes the Dutch/English doesn’t always bring up stock. The descriptions can be a bit vague so check the pictures out.... this website put me in touch with a company called Autodemontage Holtrop, a Dutch breaking company. They don’t list their stock on their own website, but were good to deal with.
Good luck!

Hi All,

I've just received a set of rear ABS sensors from Autodoc but in their infinite wisdom they have sent another brand rather than the Triscan ones I selected. Does anyone know what the which gender connectors should be on each sensor, so I can check whether these will do the job?

Also, I have discovered that the front sensors are also NLA from Renault? Is there any compatibility issues with there or should any pattern part be ok?

Thanks in advance!

They don't have to be Triscan. I've used Ridex on mine and they are also fine.

Rear driver's side requires a female plug.
Passenger rear is a male plug.

Front sensor use Bosch 0265006383 off eBay for around £30.

That's great, thanks. They look to be compatible. They are branded Stark - I'll try to put a pic up later so there is a useful reference for someone else in the future!

Got some Bosch for the front on order now. (y)

Yeah I've seen the Stark ones on Autodoc, they look ok.

I guess the Triscan were out of stock (despite showing as available...) and the Stark are priced higher so they viewed that as a good subsitute. I'd have preferred the Triscan though as I knew they are compatible up front! I'm still amazed that these aren't readily stocked in the UK since it was such a big market for the 182

I'm pretty sure Stark are there own brand, and they will typically send out the Stark in place of the ordered item if it's out of stock from what I've seen online.

Not seen anything bad about them that i can recall though. Just annoying that they don't tell you before hand and it's a surprise 3-5 days after ordering.
