Wanting a new stainless exhaust but not to loud for my 182

  Clio 182
I’ve found one I like but would like to know if they are any good it’s brand new from an eBay shop it’s £199 reduced from £299
But there’s no make or anything so I can’t do much research.
Would or has anyone bought a cheap one on eBay if so is it any good or should I save up and get a well known brand? Thanks

The resonated Milltek system is pretty quiet, well under 90db on the static noise test.

Yeah I have l

ooked at them but I just don’t have £500 to spend on one right now so was swing if the cheaper ones were any good.

That unbranded one won't be the best, hell. even the Milltek's can be questionable sometimes ?

You do get what you pay for with exhausts.

Miltek resonated system sounds lovely with decat pipe. Not too intrusive and very quiet on long journeys. Bit of a pain to get to sit correctly at the rear in the two bumper cut outs. Quality of the system and welds seems excellent.

You'd be better buying a used branded one on here or the Facebook page than risking that ebay one. You'll only know how loud that is when it's too late.

That one you posted is missing the mid-box so it will probably be a fair bit louder than the stock exhaust.
Also if you plan to run decat that will make it a touch louder too.

Yeah I’ve been told they resonate through the car a lot.
Tempted at this rate to keep the standard one on it aha

No worries. Probably worth putting a wanted post on here as quite a few come up for sale. I reckon probably worth getting one of the main ones if you can hold out!

I'm really tempted by the mild steel Sportex system - I would have never considered one before however after hearing one in the flesh it sounded really good, wasn't too loud, seemed to fit ok and had lasted for at least 2/3 years at that point.

No idea regarding drone at motorway speeds though. Either way seems like a bit of a bargain for £280 new.

Yeah apparently they fit well to!
And they do give a 30 month warranty! So might be worth a punt.

Don't bother replacing the exhaust if you're only keeping it a little while.
Unless the current one is literally falling off the car.

There's no power gains to be had.

Not bothered about the power as it has enough just a nice sound as the standard one sounds like a diesel.
It’s not falling off just rattling.
