My New Volvo 740

This one is my garage queen. Had a lot of money spent on it by previous owners and pretty quick for a late 80s car.

Just need to find some decent wheels and then potentially bring the rear up as it’s borderline reverse rake.

1990 740 turbo saloon
Nearly 120k
Chipped 984 ecu and gold ezk
18t turbo ran at 21 psi
3 inch maf
A cam
M90 gearbox
TTV flywhweel with 850r clutch
Blue injectors ran at 4 bar with D1 spec FPR
Pace cosworth rs500 intercooler
Custom 3 inch stainless downpipe (has insert welded in ready for wideband, currently blanked) and side exit system, it has 2 silencers but is loud.
Ram air cone filter with custom air box
Bailey dump valve
MBC
Boost gauge
G80 locker diff with governor modification
Viking Performance triangulation strut brace
Viking performance lower brace
960 lower braces
Duel rear arb's
Classic swede gaz adjustable shocks and 80mm lowering springs
Polybushed adj panhard rod
Polybushed spaceships
De badged and chromed.

Previous owner said 280bhp but I think that’s a tad optimistic. Probably around 225-250bhp at a rough guess. It’s certainly nippy.

Massive offset issues but I think with some 6ft spacers it could look ok.

Out in the 740 today. It’s longer than the vxr8 which surprised me!

Still managed to get it in the garage though.

25mm spacers arrived. I could have probably gone 30mm but I don’t want to have to ‘modify’ the arches.

I’m not 100% on the wheels but once my front spacers arrive (from Latvia) I’ll be able to have a look and decide what I want to do.
