Original Windscreen

Car  Clio182
Hello people ,

I need to replace my windscreen and have had. Abit of aball ache with my insurances preferred window suppliers ( National Wndscreens )

first last week they sent the wrong tint (a bronze colour windscreen) which I refused.
I was told I need to pay upfront to get a genuine Renault one which I did finally.
Today the screen arrived and it had a slight blue tint but not as blue as my previously fitted screen

I need to know if this picture is thecorrect item for my 182 2004 plate clio

It doesn’t even look as blue as my one on the car currently the last image is the damaged one as I refused the windscreen

I need to know if them pictures with the codes are correct

Correct.....

the new windscreen they turned up with is no where as blue as the cracked one on the car at the moment so I turned it down thinking it is not original

What does the 43R-000056 mean ???
The one I have on the car right now is so much more blue- er than this replacement they want to fit on

Just realised the damaged one I currently have on the car was a rac windscreen so maybe that’s why it’s more blue than the original they came with today
Ive got a rac one in my 182 very blue like you say.
Think i will get another if the genuine is like a green house.

I’m guessing this is a splintex one based on the badge

Are they original or they pulling my leg

I bet they love you kicking up fuss for a genuine windscreen then refusing it 😂

The windscreen supplied is correct, it may not be the same manufacturer as the original when the car was made but it will be the correct part manufactured by whoever was doing Renaults glass at the time it was ordered by them

Yes , probably think I’m a annoying customer by now . But I’d rather be safe then sorry mate if you get what I mean
Personally, it wouldn't be the glass that would concern me - but the fitment.

Done wrong, you can get water ingress and potential corrosion at the top of the A-pillars. Unfortunately there's no way to vouch for that, other than the reputation of the fitter.

Mine is still the original glass and under hazy sun, the pitting on the glass is awful. If I could guarantee that the fitment would be spot on, I'd replace it - but I'd rather just put up with it for now.

This is my original windscreen. Almost the same numbers as Amos except mine has a 5 he has a 4?

The windscreen is correct for your 182 in the fact it will fit the hole and take the sensor. The tint your seeing on your factory screen is a solar tint, these aren't avaliable anymore as a genuine Renault screen, or at least not through our suppliers.

If you decide not to have it fitted, send them my way please. I've been waiting nearly a month now for Autoglass to replace mine 🤬

Bloody hell! I want a new windscreen now. Can I get mine done through insurance if it's an advisory on my mot?

I think you do not have to justify why you want it done but saying that mine got a 20 cm crack that is unmissable

Hit the chip from the inside of the screen, will make a nice crack! They are roughly £185 outside insurance just as a point of reference

Just need to check my cover with Greenlight, not sure if windscreens come covered as standard

How much auto glass charging you for a original windscreen
£70 through Greenlight insurance. Got a call this afternoon to say they're taking delivery of the glass on 25th and will fit next Monday So hopefully don't send me an ape to fit it and do a good job 🤞

They will replace with a new screen as long as the damage isn't repairable i.e. crack larger than a £2 coin or so it says on the Autoglass site 🔨
