Anyone have any experience of decent steering wheel mounts/frames? I’ve had the Logitech G29/920 wheel and pedal set sat around for ages and want to actually use the damn things 😂

Ideally something foldable, are the GT Omega ones still the go-to brand for this stuff?

Funnily enough I've just got myself the GT Omega Apex & G920 for F1 2020.

It's a folding design but tbh I don't bother and just carry the whole thing out the way when I'm not using it.

Not much to say about it other than it's really solid and gives a decent driving position with very little fiddling.

New mobo, faster RAM

PC runs slightly better and I gained an addressable RGB mobo strip. I set it to solid red though because I'm not autistic 😂 Or at least not mega autistic anyway

Having used it for a couple of days, if you work for a long time at your desk I'd highly recommend getting a sit/stand desk. I feel much better for spending more time standing. Probably the wrong thread for it, but there you go

For such a 'failure' of a game it still sold well, continues to sell well, and is generally receiving positive feedback. That would be the measure of a successful game generally. People are fickle. 😂

yeah, it’s easy to follow the meta. I put 50 hours in and want to put in more in, but waiting on the bigger fixes. Real shame it got realised in the state it did, but even so I’ve had some real awesome moments in the story that left me in awe. They just stripped far too many mechanics to leave it in a fit state.

Just got myself a new chair. I had ordered the Secret Labs Titan, but they messed me about so much I got a refund. I then started looking at ergo chairs to help my back. Was going to order a Herman Miller, but then I found Steelcase. Ended up ordering a Leap V2 from Hunts Office furniture and got a 10% discount. Tempted, but I want all the eye candy and only have a lowly GTX1080 driving a 1440p ultra wide. Guess it could join the stack of “bought but never played”, it’ll be in good company 😂

What are people running for ultrawides? I'm looking for a new one for my build.

I need 1440p, 100hz+, 34" and over... if anyone has any recommendations. I'd be keen for the Samsung G9 but I'm unsure of the 1000R curve, even on a deep desk that I've got.

I'm running a couple of Acer Predator 35" (1800R) and they are mega. I personally find the 1000R too curvy for my needs.

(Not my system, just an example of 1000R).

Funny I was just looking at mine (1900R) today thinking, you can hardly tell it’s curved when you look at it, yet from the side profile it’s noticeable.
That Samsung is mad, although heard there were quite a few quality control issues with the G9

I'm not sure I would enjoy that. It seems very abnormal. Although I have never tried a curved monitor.

Samsung claim it matches the curvature of the human eye - but that could be utter nonsense sales talk.
Not having used it I have no idea if its good.
That said, I‘d struggle to go back to 16:9 after a few months with ultra wide

I dont even notice the curve on my 27" monitor

Its nothing drastic but looking at it I would never notice until I remember

Mines 1500R, don't really notice it much. My old one was 1800R and using them both, the 1500 does feel a bit more immersive.

I've got an i7-7700K here that's now surplus to requirements, it's on ebay for £198. Would happily discount for a CS member in need.

It was happy at 5.0GHz before the Mobo failed.

Anyone know if an i7-4770k, 16gb Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR3 RAM and a Z87 mobo (can't remember the exact model) would still be worth anything in parts these days? Or even if it would be worth building up as a full system to sell. The mobo has a slightly bent pin but it's 100% fixable. It's all just lying around boxed and gathering dust after I upgraded last year.

Not sure I can be bothered spending the time to fix the mobo and build it back up into a system just to see if it works, if it's not going to be worth decent money to sell.

Old computer parts seem to sell easy.
