No image I have seen has really caught how thin this foldable is. Incredible piece of tech considering the level of quality they have built it to.

Not mine, a friend. With discounts and trade ins I think he got it down to £790.
I currently have the fold 5 and this month is my last payment on it. Love a folding phones its amazing.
May look into what deals there are on the 7.

I was tempted by the 7, but Samsung blocking me from their deals kind of put a stop to that.
I could get a friend to order it etc, but it seems like hard work to spend money.

I have noticed when unfolded things don't display as well as they could on my fold 5.

You would have thought rescaling wouldn't be pretty simple

Which is a little disappointing

The pixel fold is equally thin.

I have just got a Pixel 9Pro XL temporarily and my god it's great
.
Camera pisses all over my S23U and the software just works...
The pixel fold? It's not even close to the fold 7... The fold 7 whilst not as mental as the Asian stuff is the most complete book style foldable so far as the software and the cameras as a package. Genuinely holding one in your hands is utterly insane to think it's a mm thinner than my s24 ultra. Folded.

I do fancy a pixel 10 pro non XL to try the smaller phone life.

I fear I wouldn't open a fold much. Especially at work where I'm doing rapid stuff on my phone and back to the laptop. 🤷‍♂️ But it's so f**king cool.

One of the reasons I got my fold was for viewing photos on, I'm into drone photography.

The bigger screen is amazing for viewing photos and videos on, way better than a small phone.

A bigger keyboard is better for my fat thumbs also 😉

Looking at getting the pixel 10 pro (non XL) direct from Google.

They are offering £518 on my pixel 8 pro plus £100 store credit towards next purchase (will be getting the wife one too)

Takes the total for two phones down to £862, or £431 per phone. Seems like a no brainer bargain deal but wanted to check if there are any other options / deals out first?

Edit: just checked top cash back and there is 5% on there so minimum would be £43 back on that max would be £100 back

Check the size, i got Pixel 9 pro a while ago, it's a great phone, but it's a little bit small.

I've currently got the pixel 8 pro which I find cumbersome sometimes. Think I'm going to order the Mrs one first as she is set on a smaller phone so I can see the size then make a decision on the one I get

i went from a Pixel 6 pro to the 8 pro and it was smaller, easier for putting in your pocket for sure.

Let me know how you get on with it.

My s22 ultra could do with being upgraded. Had it over 3 years now

S26 time in the new year? Or get a s25?
Just be mindful the button on the pen no longer works for the camera 😒
They may bring it back for the s26 though

Yeah my 7 is 3 years now too.

Samsung cameras have always been pretty good haven't they, so not sure what it'd be like for you.
I expect it to piss all over it tbh. The camera on the 9Pro is so much better than my S22u.

I'm just deciding what to get and where from. Some good deals direct from Google at the moment.

The camera on my Pixel 9pro XL is much better than the Samsungs and I had an S23 Ultra. It's alot easier taking pictures of my kids, Samsungs shutter speed is just right.

The Pixel just works and dare I say it, is similar to an iPhone. On my S23U for example if I had a text message verification code it wouldn't work with Google Chrome automatically but to does on the pixel.

Really?

I went the same way and wouldn't say it's that much if an improvement, Battery was better on the S23, It didn't freeze and crash multiple times and it doesn't have stupid back gestures that end up sending you back when you are trying to scroll 😂

Otherwise it's a decent phone but I'll be going back to Samsung

I'm forever sticking my middle finger up at mine

How?!
They work spot on for me?

@dann2707
Just looked on employee portal and a 512gb s25u is 1146.65 to buy outright.
They don't offer any trade in for a s22u unfortunately.

Pricey really if you were to spread it over 24 months (47 a month)
Compared to the trade in I got for my s23u and sticking 100 quid up front mine came in at 25 quid a month.
