Indeed you did lol wasn't my best work to be fair. Its a 270bhp NA hillclimb car that i wanted to get some morette headlights for. People don't seem to like them though

My naivety is strong ha. Seeing your posts on other threads afterwards got me confused as f**k as you were getting proper technical.

Couldn’t imagine a MP kitted car storming up Shelsley Walsh, it reminds me of that old Top Gear episode. 😂

Cs never forgets
That's some mint memory @Matt Cup

Thanks 🤩

Should've hooked you up with the rather dubious 18" chrome Lexanis I got off an old Max Power build around then, would've been quite something :ROFLMAO:

Unfortunately a Tiguan texting and driving saw to annihilating my CRX (and my spine) before I could fit them and sold them to a lad with a widearch Corsa B.

Imagine these bad boys going up the twisties on a timed run 🥴:ROFLMAO:

Aye! This was before I put KW V1s on my Jazz and it weighed down the boot to near enough what I was shooting for fitment-wise 🤣

SUBSTANTIAL quantities of unsprung mass

Previous owner of the wheels was cool as though! He owned the yellow R32 GT (GTS? GTT? 2-door non-R) that was on a couple of Max Power covers and DVDs back in the day and the wheels were intended t

I saw that 306 in a car park local to me once. I knew of the car, but certainly didn't expect to see it in real life. It has been crushed since.

Bit of additional Max Powerage for a fine Tuesday afternoon!

Found a chap selling these old MOMO wheels in 16x7, so gonna pop up to Surrey and get them collected. Same fitment as 182 wheels so gonna get them cleaned up and put my Yokos on 😁

Nice but for proper max power shouldn’t they be tsw venoms? 😂

I've seen people charging absolutely biblical prices for Venoms because of the nostalgia factor these days! Same with Vaults as well.

Mine actually came on TSWs of some descrip, but I chopped them for some standard 182 wheels without tyres to fit my Yokos and gauge fitment.

I feel like 17s are at the point where the car would ride in such a way that every imperfection in the road is injected directly into my spinal cord :ROFLMAO:

Nonetheless exceedingly cool period wheels!

You could have some 17’s as “show” wheels then keep the 16‘s for the track.

As it’s a max power build and the whole ethos is OTT styling I recon it’d look a bit under wheeled on 16’s.

Honestly big wheels is where Max Power and I part ways styling-wise. Always liked a bit of function with my form - same way the car will still get tracked and thrashed with the kit. :)

Good to see it all arrive in one piece. Looks like it was packaged well.

Aye! Chris Pellowe with the bike engine-swapped Kei truck up in Scotland was the chap who hooked me up with it and shipped it down. Exceedingly nice fella.

I think a fair bit of the cardboard’s using what I got his Quadrifoglio exhaust up with as well 🤣

Mental note taken that FedEx don’t completely destroy packages as well, Parcelforce by comparison look like they’ve run their packages over

Quick test fit, as unfortunately the joys of living in a city centre include the nearest carpark you can get a permit for being 500m from your flat. Shall see to getting funny looks hauling a pair of sideskirts up a hill at a later date.

I'll need to build the middle out a bit as the lips are made for a non-RS Clio, but the potential's there... probably with heavy use of a dremel and a fair bit of fiberglassing.

Furthermore, unintentionally, there is the baddie I pulled by being autistic. She's got a 2018 MX5 ND RF 2.0 and does a fantastic job beating men at karting.

You know she loves you when she's sticking around for this 😘

I trust the process.

She's been there from day 1 boss! It's our tenth anniversary this year 😁

Genuinely the best codriver I could ask for. We've pulled subframes off Civics together, driven exceedingly hard together, and she's got me out of a few murky situations.

I'm pleased to say that I'm in exceedingly good hands. The spare bedroom currently has an engine, a door, a bodykit, bucket seats, a welder and two sets of wheels in it. Not so much as a "what is any of this doing here." In return, I ask no questions about the Christmas tree :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Photoshop is a wonderful thing, so after finishing up on a client's Datsun B140 livery (at a healthy 1AM), I turned my hand to getting the Clio looking how I'd like it to with some heavy Photoshop kitbashing. Not my finest work, probably not helped by the fact all of this has been attempted well past 1AM, but that's the end goal.

Now all that's left is to cut the lips up, get all of it to fit, fettle all of it so it actually looks cohesive, create mounting points (there are none), spend about a grand at the paint shop, and finding a Ph2 bonnet that's not shagged (seemingly impossible) while I'm at it.

Nonetheless, here's the vision. God bless autism for the weird way my brain works and God help my wallet for what I'm about to do to it.

That actually doesn’t look bad, quite subtle really. I wonder if you should put an evo vent or a scooby vent on the bonnet too for good max power measure?

Cheers dude! I’m chasing a more Spocom/Import Tuner feel rather than a Max Power cover car, so the lip kit hits the nail on the head.

In terms of a bonnet, I know they’re a little bit holy grail, but I’m patiently waiting for a clean carbon bonnet to pop up that I can paint match. Good shout on a vent though, if vented carbon ones are out there, that’s me exceedingly happy. 😁

This needs added to it and colour matched.

If they can hold that for like a week until I get paid I am absolutely HAVING that. That is exactly what I'm looking for funnily enough lol
