Tyre recommendations 🙋

Looking at new tyres for the clio, not looking to spend a lot of money as this may be the cars last outing, its currently on ado8r which I've found to be good but seem to be no longer available in the uk in size required 205 45 16.

Two sets I've came across, nankang NS-2R (180 compound), or Zestino Gredge Semi Slick Tyre (soft compound), both brands i have never used.

Car is a road car that goes on track now and again, not out to be the fastest just too have fun. My concerns is a tyre that can handle a little bit of cold/damp/wet a little also due to location in scotland, the yoko's were good in the dry and predictable in the wet, best of both worlds running one sets of tyres on track.

Any recommendations/reviews welcome.

Thanks 👍

I've had the Zestinos in soft compound, they were decent, also in cold damp conditions, but would overheat quite quickly on warm, dry days.

Keep the stints short and you'll be fine.

Ps5 will withstand a bit of track use but not ideal as a road tyre. They were OK at Spa on my megane for a half day but long circuit, on a short circuit prob wont last long.

Its a tough one, ps5 be best for cold and wet days, but prob want a better compound for dry track

Possibly go for the medium compound Zestinos? Probably take a bit longer to warm up but might stand up better to warm trackdays.

Yeah that's the issue, can't have it all i guess unless you spend the money.
I've just fitted potenza evo enliten to my megane so might just take that instead, again not sure if the tyres will be a big let down after a few laps 🫣🤷‍♂️
