Rojer's 200T

Wheel bolts arrived so wheels on. It must have some rear spacers I didn't know about as it shouldn't be that tight lol. Good job I didn't get 7.5j wheels. I'm sure the rear arches will self clear or ill get the hammer out. Even going round the block, you can tell the AR1s are serious. A lot more noise on the road.

Look decent fitment wise. But that rear wheel not sitting in the centre of the arch makes my teeth itch. Probably a trick of the lens so don’t panic Roj

I've never had arches self clear.... i've had arches destroy expensive tyres before!

Have you got a rounders bat or a jack handle wrapped in something?

It only rubs if I go over a speed bump a bit quick, it was fine down my local bumpy road. Bedford is flat so hopefully it will be fine. I can massage it with the jack handle if needs be.

I'm considering taking the spacers out, but I would need some stub axle bolts. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can use?

Thought to myself, I'll whip the spacers out the rear, no worries should take an hour.... Absolutely welded to the stub axle. Lots of swearing, cutting and hammering and they came off. Took it for a drive and doesn't rub on speed bumps so I'll call that a win.

That's looks a lot better. Wheels don't look too bad either. I may regret selling them now :ROFLMAO:Please put the centre caps in though!!.

Fair enough, that does make sense. Leave them out then.

I know the 1.2 Team Dynamics ones have a habit of going missing on track thinking about it now.

Another track day done at Bedford. AR1s are mega, so much more grip. I'm still not liking the brake pedal feel so I might just swap the pads out for something else. Apart from that, the car performed excellent again and no dramas. I was just getting a bit bored as I had no one to play with 99% of the time.

There's your issue. I hated the feeling of the in my Clio, no confidence at all.

Ds1.11 were amazing, now on winmax pads which are great as well.

Yer I think about swapping to Winmax as I heard they are better than DS1.11 and they last for a long time.

Front and rear? Need uprated rear pads too.

I think the rear has some crappy standard pads in, but I'm going to be freshing the rears soon.

You'll see a noticeable difference with a proper track pad in the rear. PBS doing all the work and probably getting too hot.

Are EBC SR11 available for your front calipers?

I used them at CSF and they were really good, could easily lock up on road tyres and they haven't worn at all. To be expected from an endurance pad really.

I used PBS ProRace for a long time and the biggest issue was the lack of feel, the pedal feels very wooden and lifeless. Even going to EBC RPX was a decent upgrade in terms of feel and feedback. I'm a big fan of CL RC6 but they're very expensive and can fall apart as they're not a sintered pad.

Avoid EBC if you can, even their RP-X stuff's pretty average from my experience. Had them supplying me directly for a bit and even then, ehhhhhh.

Wore out freakishly quick as well (~6 weeks), even on the really damn light vehicle I had them strapped to.

No complaints with Ferodos, I think their newer pads are held in with NRS hooks as well which means you shouldn't delaminate them or separate the pad if you're out really laying abuse into them.

6 weeks of track use? How many track days. I wouldn’t say my Cayman is a heavy car, but it isn’t light and the RP1’s dont
Look like they’ve worn at all? Are you saying they sponsored you? Was this on a race car ?

6 weeks of after dark motorsport on twisty roads with moderate-heavy abuse, probably running 2-3 nights a week with a couple of big sustained runs in there on weekend sessions. 0 track days.

Car in question was a Honda Jazz on Wilwood 4-pots, no sponsorship but they were down for it because "4-pots on a Honda Jazz is funny" until I sent them back their backing plates within 6 weeks. Then it ceased to be funny for them, doubly so when I answered that I'd never seen a trackday in my life.

Went through yellows equally fast, blues equally fast, RP-X equally fast, and then something else they'd concocted for me that had revision notes on the box. Then they stopped answering my emails and Matt at Torque GT suggested I should probably try Dixcels instead.

Funny you should mention Wilwoods.

RP1 on my mates Clio with those calipers wear down half in one track day but in my Mégane with much bigger pad they wore 1mm.

Interesting, there are several people running serious cars doing serious track work with these pads. I wouldn’t consider myself that particularly. But I think k I have them a good work on track at Cadwell. They still look like new.

Not sure what “after dark motorsport” is but the way. 12 car road rallies!?

Think it might, definitely be the 4-pots in that case alongside what I was throwing at them. The Dixcel high carbons I ran afterwards held up to the abuse remarkably well though, to the extent I couldn't kill them over months on end of protracted use.

Dixcel do make Clio brakes, I just don't know anybody running them so can't give anything quantitative nor qualitative there. Will likely get a set after I finish off my current brakes in the name of science and report back.

And just racing other people in a definitely legal manner definitely not on quiet roads with spotters and radios.... in Assetto Corsa, and Mexico, obviously.

Can only think it's the tiny pads they use.

Both guys I know who were at CSF in Porsche and BMW both use RPX and get on really well with them.

Possibly.

Was running 100.6mm / 56mm pads with 11mm of pad thickness to clear Civic/DC2 brake setup I'd grafted on.

Good to know that Wilwoods just eat pads in that instance!
