I’ve had my wheel off today and I want to torque it up correctly. I have a Clarke CHT204 3/8” torque wrench and I want to check it’s set right. Wheel nut setting is 105 nm and this converts to 1070.70 kg/cm, so call it 1080. I’ve turned the wrench to 11.1 cm/kg and then dialled it back 3 notches to give 10.8 cm/kg.

Have i set it correctly?

The other side is inches/pounds.

In the past i've hand tightened whilst the wheel was off the ground, gave a full tighten when it was back on the floor and then stood on the wrench until it doesn't move. Never had a wheel fall off but since I have a wrench I thought i'd use it.

Should be safe enough to max that wrench out with it being a 3/8th anyway.
