172 Cup Starting problem

Hi all - I'm a new member but have had my 172 Cup for 18 months. Firstly thanks for the great forum - reading the posts already identified the ticking noise on tickover. I have a weird one cropped up. Came to start the car yesterday and it turned over ran for about 2 seconds and stopped. Restarted same thing 2 seconds then stopped. Then it wouldn't start but the weird thing was it would only crank over for a few seconds even though I held the key on. Today it starts Ok but confidence has taken a knock in case it happens again. Anyone any ideas please

Most likly the carbon canister relay playing up.

The what? Only did it since i had my cambelt changed about 2 weeks ago
