Anyone used this backup app?

Ive just got a new samsung lappy with this pre installed ,Does anyone use this? is it worth using ?

I used to use norton goback but it seemed to slow the system to a crawl which i dont wont so i uninstalled it.

does anyone know if this app makes backups at boot or during windows:S

For backups at home I would tend to say that Norton Ghost is what I would use, use it for individual desktops at work and it is really simple to use too, but then again the one you have is free.

Yea i agree i use ghost on my desktop works a treat

But with this being pre installed on a hidden partition and can be booted from from the bios....its currently disabled as im unsure on whether to use it or not.....Just dont want it to make the lappy slow....if it makes the backups at system startup itll be ok and ill use it...but if it makes backups whilst in windows id rather not as this is bound to slow the system.

If it's a hidden partition does it not just restore to the default factory settings? I'm sure that's what I had when my laptop can.

no,I thought that but the hidden partitions just the app to boot from....for this to work you also have to install the windows side of the app for them both to work together.

theres an option within the bios to delete this partition if needed.

I think though i may just leave that alone and use ghost even though this does look like a handy tool......Its like windows system restore but alot more reliable to restore from...and safer as the backups are going to a seperate partition.

Unsure though still if its creating the incremental backups whilst in widnows or all this is happening (making a system screen shot) on boot...If you get what i mean.
