172 Clutch few things

Car has just clicked 53k miles

Ive done 10k miles in just over a year now, and the clutch hasnt really got much worse.

But now on a slight hill when trying to pull away the clutch slips and stinks like a mother fucker.

So whats average mileage for a clutch then on the 172?
Whats best standard fit euro car parts item or aftermarket?
What time to fit the clutch? 7 hours correct?

I would attempt it myself but i need the car daily and soo busy at work at the moment.

And whats general charges from mark fish? BBT? then?

The biting point also seems to have got a little higher, however on normal driving and 5th gear at 30 mph the clutch doesnt slip.

40~80k often.

Stock is the best its a common clutch with the other Renault cars.

7 hours or so to fit yep.

£300 or so cash in hand from some who knows what there doing you'll fine the best places are the clucth specialists plug chnage the gearbx oil for some decinet stuff. Some garage won't do work on the cars.

Moved teams now mate, got the ex prodrive year 2000 mondeo super touring car to play with. Thats taking away all my spare time ha ha!

prob not the best place to get it done but its the only place near me so im going to get "mr clutch" to fit mine on saturday, the impression i got was it wont be that long?

if they f**k it etc they can keep doing it until they get it right lol.

not a bad price either of £250.99 and the assure me its a new clutch, just dont know/dont want to know how they do it so cheap.

Should be fine they often known there there doing much more than any other garage.

yeah yeah i know but it sthe cheapest place and tbh the easiest place to get it sorted, the way i look at it if it aint perfect when i get it back they can keep taking it back till it is sorted
