Peugeot 306 HDi
Be fair though, for those of us who are under 25 and on a relative budget, the 16v is a good car. It handles pretty well, looks good and it's quick for a 1.2 (it is comparable to 1.4 Fiestas, 206s, Grande Puntos etc in terms of BHP and much lighter). Like DougClio says, people shouldn't slate them because they have a 172/182 - people buy what best suits them. One day I'll have a Type R or ST, but for now my Dynamique is ideal; I'll wait until I've done Uni and got plenty of money before I buy a fast car.
I used to have a 1.2 8v Club Med. It was pitiful. As long as my Dynamique isn't too heavily loaded, it's fast enough for me for now and it is far, far superior to my MKI in every single way. I like it!
