Decat Picture

OI OI everyone, Has anyone on here got a pic of there decat pipe? maybe took one before putting it on the car.

Reason im asking is couse im getting 1 made, and the K-tec decat and the Yozza one looks different at the flange end of it. The yozza one looks like a normal flange on an exhaust but the ktec one is solid and made out of cast...

So If you can send me some pics that would be cool.

I think blueflame buy in the flanges pre made from someone in France, they hinted to me that it was Eurocarparts but I'm not so sure...

The seal isn't around the face of the flange which I was nervous about at first when I saw how little material there is there. They use a big o-ring like gasket to seal on the inside against the tapered shape of the de-cat. Highly recommend a new gasket set from Renault before fitting.

On the yozza one it aint all whelded together couse you can see a gap down the side (see below)

it seals when you bolt it up.

Yeah bit obvious that, your not getting what i meen... I need to know what kind of end it needs, can it be like a normal car one or does it need to be a whelded solid cast like the Ktec one... which format it best? yozza or Ktec.

As you can see both are different

Couse as you can see with the bottom one, there flange plate aint whelded on the pipe, its loose...

Couse if thats how Yozz have done it i can get my bloke to do it that way save the hastle of copying the Ktec one....

I think they both work, once tightened they are bothe the same. I don't know if one version is easier to fit or not? My Yozza one fitted really well to my 51 plate 172. I'd say copy that one.

Just bought a Decat from K-Tec.. perfect stuff. I suggest you buy a decat instead of having one fabbed.. will save you a lot of hassle.
