Going on from my pic thread, i want/need to weld in a bar to mount my harnesses to.

My question is.....where;s is the best place to weld it in?

could you just weld a rear strut brace in and use that then its doing two jobs at once, or would it be too far back from the seats?

My mate who races pug 205s HAS to mount the harnesses on to a horizontal bar the same height as the shoulders of the driver, welded to to the cage in order for it to pass testing.

I can see it in my head, but can't describe it properly lol

I know what you mean mate, might have that done as the cage is going in soon, seems like the best idea too!

Any other options?

your best bet would be to try and see how they do it in the clio cup cars. try and find a picture and see where they mount it
