ECU Remap

  RS Clio 172 Ph1
Just in the process of booking my car for a Group N ECU remap. I've read a lot of good things about doing it but has anyone ever experience problems after the map ie starting, idle etc., etc.? Be interested to hear chaps.

What exactly are you doing Juan? Have you bought a group n and getting a garage/tuner to fit it?

K tec are bona fido lol. You should be ok. Dont expect too much though.

No I'm not really. Just want it for the torque improvement low to mid-range. Not really interested in passing the limiter, the thing will probably fall to bits with the vibration :)

Are you pleased you got it done?

True group N by true definitial means near stock remap just modified for the racing exhaust and intakes there allowed to use to ensure good AF mixtures etc

A true group N doesn't exist for the phase 2 cars though. There just a stockish map with uped limiter often made for a car with an exhaust and induction kit. etc.

To be honest was a bit disappointed, but know better now. All the stuff you read on here about de-cats, flowed inlets, IK's ect. Complete waste of time IMO. For meaningful performance you need to get wild cams and throttle bodies.

Too much money for me all that stuff. Id personally rather buy a Scooby than spend thousands on my Clio. If I had the cash that is.

If you cant afford to tune, dont do it. A scooby would cost lots more than a clio to tune and run.
