172 cup suspension



  GDI 227bhp ITB`d 172 cup
hi all, just wondered how much 172 cup standard suspension is worth cause i`ve got a m8 who wants them 4 his 1.2. thanx 4 ur help
 
Why fit 172 springs to a 1.2? Stupid ideal there not made for the car.

£30 thoug maybe.

Fitting them stupid though IMO

not really m8 cause he is fitting a 172 engine to the 1.2 as a street sleeper!! he is a mechanic so wil b fitting it all himself. just wanted to know how much the CUP suspension is worth with only 20,000 miles on them.?:rasp: ??????

I paid £100 for 4 springs and dampers of a cup that had done 4k at the time of removal.

I think I had a good deal.

I'd say 100-150 for yours.

was gonna say, wont he need the axle/hubs and all that gubbins too, due to the wider track of the cup over a standard clio.

im not a mechanical type and im sure sum1 will correct me if im wrong, but i dont think it'll all just bolt on mate.

Nope its not bolt on its different hub bolt spacing and hole's used. It can be bodged if you want.

thanx 4 the advice but he has already got 172 rear hubs and disks cause i had a new rear axel on me cup so he had al the bits off that.

fink 150 sounds about right.

will also need front hubs..... even then i'm not sure what happens with driveshaft set up etc......
