time to bite the bullet

  In between cars....
time to bite the bullet, Getting a remap

well im going to get the car booked for a remap, ill book it this week so should have it done soon i hope

just wonddering a couple things

its a clio 2002 dci 65bhp version and has 50500 miles on the clock

is anything likely to be affected by the remap as being a turbo diesel i would say its a sizeable gain

i know they remap to about 90bhp but how much of a torque increase can i expect?

does anybody know the standard torque output for these cars?

will the remap likely give a more even spread of power throughout the rev range?

ive emailed RS Tuning but cant remember the guys user name on here, they are a bit of a trek away but im due to go to blackpool soon so its kinna up that way anyway

is there any other questions i should be asking or does anybody else have any other points worth raising?

cheers chris

Not really anything, certain bits may wear a little quicker but negligible I'd say I've had no problems.

See this thread. DCI65s are roughly 160n/m standard which is about 118 lb/sf.

Yeah aswell as more power throughout the range you'll feel it being smoother aswell.

cheers buddy, so id be seeing upwards of 150ish lb/ft after the remap?

is there a really noticeable difference? have you had yours done? and if so where di you go?

You'll feel the difference thats certain. Torque wise you'd have same, or more torque than a 182 - most DCI65 owners on here that have had it mapped get that.

I went to Paul at RS Tuning from all the recommendations on here, spot on aswell can't fault it.
