dci 100 gearstick Q

Im sure they have the same gearbox as a Renault trafic. Someone will prove me wrong there. Also Im not 100% sure all the dci100s have them.

sounds possibly accurate... as theyre both known as bad boxes.....

Nah they use the 5 speed out of the 1.6/1.8 Petrol 2000-2005 Laguna etc All DCI 100s use the JR5 gearbox. The Clio 3 106 BHP DCI uses a new 6 speed gearbox the TL4 which is in the same family as the 197.

The DCI 100 gearstick is different to the new Clio 1.2/1.4/1.5 gearstick though its more pointy.

The different gearbox simply explained the reasoning behind the different gearknob. The YES was to point out, yes, all of the DCI100s have the same gearboxes, which surely should conclude that they all have the same style gear knob insert.... Maybe it's just me

There cable operated rather than the linkage on the old JB/JC series boxes hence why the gearstick is different.

No 6-speed in the Mk2 Clio barring the V6 afaik.

The gearsticks shape and design (apart from the colour) are the same all through the range the 1.2/1.4/65DCI/80DCI/1.6/2.0 but the DCI 100 has a different pattern, as you say reverse being down and right, and the shape of the stick is completely different - thats where the confusion starts I think.
