Haha, you have to be quick! Coming from Romford, seems strange not to have spotted you before! The Trophy is looking deceptively clean despite a couple of weeks worth of dust.. And now the entire country's mosquito population!

I started off quick I think after a couple of hours driving I had chilled out a bit lol! You come from Romford then? Suprised I've never seen you then! Yeah I seem to have collected quite a few insects on the front of my car too, think it's in need of a clean today!

I do indeed, live near Raphaels park. I have never been spotted around town at all..:dapprove: Have been acknowledged by one other clio sport driver but thus far that's it - poor show! I only wish I had the time to clean mine today.. She's got to wait until tomorrow.. Weather permitting!

I've had the Trophy for around 10 months now. I commute to work by train so the car doesn't really move from my driveway a great deal during the week. How far away from Romford are you cat171? How many people from the forum are there around the area?

I'm not that far from Romford at all. I too get the train to work, so I only use the car weekends & sometimes after work.

Here aren't that many on here from the Romford area tbh:dapprove:
I'll keep an eye out, as I never see Trophy's near me.

Apparently there a a few Trophys around romford and hornchurch, I've never seen one on the road yet though!

Infact I very rarely see any clio sports that are actually on this forum or acknowledge me apart from you two!!

Yeah there do seem to be loads of st's! What colour 197 do you have? I've seen an albi blue one driving through Hornchurch before, and I think I recall seeing a red one a while back too?

I've seen both colours as stated above but have never had an acknowledgement...

There is another Trophy around Hornchurch.. I have never seen it being driven but am on CT.co.uk and have been in touch with the owner. I also regularly see one parked at Upminster station in the mornings.

I tend to see all sorts of sports at the moment.. A silver one in Upminster and also a cup in upminster most mornings.. Thing is I'm never in my car at the time!!

Oooh and lastly I did spot a PH1 sport in red with a cliosport sticker and non standard exhaust once in Hornchurch.. But again no driver!

ST's.. they're soooo boring.. Fiestas and Foci everywhere.. Far too common for my liking..!!

My mate has a 53 reg 172 cup, he lives near upminster station (so it's probably him you've seen around) I never see him in it though, he's not on here.

There does seem to be a distinct lack of decent clios round our way !

Keep an eye out for the silver mk1 vee (02 reg one) which is round Rom, me & him had a nice sprinted blast round Rom the other sat. The look on peoples faces was great, first they saw him & were like look at that, then they did a double take as I came along :approve:

If you see an old dude in flame red 172 - it's may dad, he'll gladly try it on with any one lol.

Yes, that sounds about right - it's always travelling towards the a127 around 8 ish when I tend to see it..

What a sight! There was once a silver mk1 vee with a personalised plate going around.. But haven't seen that in a long while now.

So what are your favourite driving roads around the area?

I quite like a blast from Stapleford abbots to Ongar and then onwards towards Dunmow..

That must have been quite a sight seeing 2 vee's driving together!

Speaking of never having seen any trophy's about, I just spotted one at tesco's on my lunch. Personalised plate J111 something.

i have a black 197.56 plate,i only really drive it at weekends,girlfriend uses it too get too work,she only works in romford so i dont mind her using it.Brave aint i.I have seen a red 197 and nimbus197 going about not very much though,i passed a raceing blue 182 recently in hornchurch it was a bloke driving though so wasnt yours

I've never seen a black one about, but give me a flash if you spot me, mine has a personalised plate on it. You are brave letting your girlfrriend drive it lol! I have seen a racing blue about in hornchurch/upminster a few times, could be the same one.
