Just rang up my insurance to see how much an aftermarket whell will kill me for and they said it wouldn't affect me.
Got them to confirm it twice then put a note on my account to confirm they had told me this. Sweet!

Surely removing an airbag is a marker for insurers?

I didnt pay any extra for mine, nor the buckets and harness' when they were in. They listed it all under interior modifications for which there was no additional charge. They didnt laugh at me or say no like some insurers when i suggested a rollcage either!
