Quick translation:
"If you want a 197 I suggest you don't buy one. My mate and I came across one whilst driving our 182s and we had some fun. Both 182s are remapped and mine is lowered 40mm. We easily had the advanatge on the road, even on 2 corners. Then, on the motorway "we pushed him out of the way" ???
In my opinion, I can't see the point in buying such an expensive car which is actually slower than its predecessors. I just thought I'd let potential buyers know." ;-)
The fundamental flaw in your argument is that not all potential buyers of the 197 want a car that is faster than the 182. You overlook many of the other reasons potential buyers may be attracted to the 197:
e.g I didn't go and find out if the 197 was quicker than the 182 - I bought it as I thought that the 197 was a better looking car and more grown up at that. The driving position was better for me and quality was and is a step up from the 182. I'm not going to lose any sleep over the fact that the 182 may be faster - if I or any other 197 owner wanted a 182 they could have bought one. Remember that.
