Track rod ends

  PH2 172
Hi,

I picked up my new motor today (PH2 172) and noticed the tracking was slightly out. Popped into a tyre place and they tried to adjust it but the bolt was stuck onto the track rod end, and they couldn't free it up.

The guy said I may need to replace the track rod ends, in order to free it. Anyone know how much the parts are?

Cheers

i don't know for sure but would guess that they're less than a tenner for a pattern part (GSF etc). it's not unusual to have them seize - you may need to use an oxy torch to get them off although perseverance and Plusgas/WD40 might do

Aye - they had a go with the oxy torch but it wasn't shifting and they didn't want to break it :p

I've got some plusgas, I'll give it a few sprays see if it helps

Problem is if they apply too much force/use to long a bar it can pop the ball from the end joint, not sure if a pattern one is available but worth checking.
