rough price for a valver or 1.4?

hi all,
yesterday i was after a mini for a track project, but gone and seen a few today and completely forgot how useless they are tbh. so was thinking, would i be able to get an old 1.4 or valver for around 400-500 quid? i arent too worried about condition so think its quite realistic...what do you guys think?

i no the steve thats doing the 172 rwd had a valver for sale, not sure if he still does.

Your posting this in the wrong section of the forum!

Why would you want an old 1.4? to use as a base model or something? Why dont you just look on autotrader or ebay.

which section am i meant to be postin in? and yeh tried autotrader and pistonheads, but everything within that price range is either a 1.2 or a complete shed thats undriveable, or when i do find a decent one its already sold, but 1.4s are a last resort tbh

For your budget of 500 quid the only thing your goona get is an utter shed and something that needs gutting. If you spend 500 you will need to spend 2k getting it ready for track without even breaking a sweat.

sorry im new...ish,
but yeh ideally its gonna be a valver even if it is in poor condition i arent too worried, but it just needs to be driveable. if i cant find one, then it will be a 1.4 with some sort of engine conversion, i havent decided on a doner yet though

the guy's name that i gave you has a valver he just wants rid of, all thats wrong with it (so he told me) was the clutch cable needs replacing and the clutch adjuster needs sorting.

....a mini with 100bhp at the wheels is a great track weapon!

errm couple of weeks back mate
he was getting messed around a bit, the reason i didnt go for it was because I couldnt afford the car trailer to bring it back plus my dad doesnt have time to repair it
