Any last advice before I buy a ph1 172 tonight???

remember things like;

- spare key
- locking wheel nut
- service history
- manuals

etc, if they were offered as part of the deal
 
final test drive before you buy>

Make sure the cars cold when you get there, once you get in rev it to about 4500 rpm once the cars warm and make sure no plooms of smoke come from the exhaust.

Check the gaps between the lining of the panels if theres significant gaps could be a botched crash damage repair job.

Check oil levels, dip it and make sure its a golden brown colour and not dark and dirty looking, power steering levels etc etc also.

Theresa few other things im sure the rest of the members will point out but also make sure you have done a HPI on it, take the print off and makre sure the VIN numbers all match up.

Yeah done an HPI already, came back clean. Got the performance heros Evo mag too with the buying guide, am pretty clued up, am just after some last min advice really.

quick check of the boot floor aswell. might be hpi clear but it could have been nudged.
 
should all look smooth and original any creases and / or bad welding and its a bit of a give away. check tool kit and spare wheel whilst your there
