The Coilovered Cup!!!

Car  EP3 Civic Type R
Finally, after so long, I've got my coilovers on. The one thing I've been meaning to do and saving for for ages.

Car hasn't been washed in a week, so she's not perfect I'm afraid. I can't emphasise enough, even after a few quick drives, how awesome it is to be back in a Clio with Coilovers on- worth every penny. (they are FK's btw)

I'd go slightly lower personally but it looks fantastic :)

It scrubs slightly already on full lock (arch liners) and there is no benifit to go lower. Both front and rear tyres are already 'in' the arches, anymore and I'd lose the good set up I have now. It's nigh on perfect, in terms of zero body roll, grip and direction when driving :)

Everyone else, thank you! And Norm, swapsies ANYTIME! ;)

Rubbing just means you have extra bits of car that aren't really needed ;)

Haha! Once over I'd have agreed with you, but i'm trying to be sensible and keep this car standard. Oh... FAIL. lol!

Cage and new seats next? Yeah lol I do like your thinking tbh!

I liked the Momo's you had in!! Gooooo onnnn, few more turns wont hurt :P

Different route, park further away and walk........

Women ;)

Further away? I'd come back to no car! CCTV car park FTW! Different route= extra 30 mins journey because of traffic... not a chance!

I'm happy with how it is lol!!!!

Jealous much! Coilovers is one thing i really want to do to mine. Whats the ride like on FK's? After having race set up Bilsteins on my last car i dont want anything too stiff this time :)

Personally, I think the ride is fine. Some of the roads round here are attrocious and none of my teeth fell out, nor did I end up with backache... so I'll give them the thumbs up!

I had top-spec Bilsteins on a Nova Gsi I had a few years back and they were superb, but I don't think you'd be dissapointed with the FK's- if you're bothered, save a bit more and get the H&Rs, however with going low, you're always going to have to slightly comprimise on comfort I guess!

Thanks all for the great comments, means alot! :)

Noooooooo mish, i want to keep mine standard, your pics dont help!

Looks awesome :D

I know the feeling matey (btw, your new cup looks awesome, just had a look now!)

I blame people on here for my poor money history. The temptation is too much. It's like a gambler, living in a Casino!

Cheers, the roads round here are real bad too. Personaly I don't mind them being stiff at all but our roads have some real nasty bumps that makes the car feel like you've just hit a kerb at 30mph. Not good. H&R's would be my 1st choice but money may mean FK's or KW's etc.

Yup, dosh was the only thing that swayed it for me... however I'm very happy with them so far and glad I didn't fork out money I didn't have! :)

Yeah you'll almost always be happy with what you go with in the end so no need to go overboard unnecisarily. It feels good and it defo looks good so your clearly on to a winner.

very nice! hmmm maybe i will get a cup then  are they noticably better (speed/handling) than a normal 172 then?
