Totaly F***ED idle on my 1.2 dynamique

i have absolutey no idea what has happend to my clio... i think i have posted a similar thread about this problem before but not sure... anyway as the intermitent fault came on on my way home arlier i decided to take a video so you can get the idea....

in the vid the cars engine speed drops to nothing twice after light revs and then cuts out resulting in restarting the engine...

The 1.2 engine seems to have a multitude of problems that lead to misfire and poor idling. Ive had nothing but problems with mine for over a year. People have said it could be the HT leads and coil pack, Dirty throttle body and renault themselfs have replaced the TDC sensor and loom. None have completely cured it.

its had quite a major service on it recently and needed gearbox mounts and wheel bushes etc and had something changed or whatever on the engine but cant find the invoice to c what exactly.. it ws cured for about a month and then OH DEAR! its back on again

i have to get it fixed properly and get rid because this is really causing stress lol 7TIMES!!! is the amount it stalled on the way home from work today and not from my driving technique!!!! the car is useles and wish id never got it... the thing that gets me though is that it most likely isnt worth anything and with insurance only going down to a grand next year :| i most likely cant afford anything more that has the good looks of the clio and when not being a pain, fairly average performance too.

any advice as what garages are good in the nottingham area.. andwhat are 51 plate 1.2 clios goin for now days cause i was browsing the cars for sale on here and people are selling RS clios for practicly peanuts

same here, its so f**king annoying, spent so much money trying to fix it

i have seen ecu's underbonnet loom's and injectors need replacing on these, utter w@nk the 1.2 16v

bloody rubbish it is lol.... need an rs lol dont hear much goin wrong with them.. but then again i dont own 1 so i wudnt know..

just an opinion.. what looks beter the ph1 or ph2 rs?

id say the ph1 has a wider look to it i think but ph2 looks great with defined smooth lines around the headlights and rear bumper.. hmm its a tuffy

Dont hear much going wrong with an RS??

Have you read the threads lol!!! They are as bad...and cost twice as much to fix....but worth it!!

coilpack would be the first thing id try, around £60 new from memory.

check the wiring on the back of the engine (its where the ECU is located) it can rub and brake the wires killing the loom.
