all will be getting repaired and the mechanic is getting me a 172 rear bumper as a goodwill gesture

Sorry - i don't understand this comment. The fact that their insurance is going to pay for the damage they caused would not stop me wanting to prevent that mechanic from ever being able to urinate or have children ever again.

A 1.7 puma is a very good car.

In many respects better than a clio, and certainly better than a 1.2/ 1.4 clio...

I would be weeeeel fucked off with that, yea yea they have insurance but you'll never look at the car in the same light, i say 172 bumper & 172 seats to make up for the airbag f**k up! thats why i do all my own serviceing & have a friendly MOT station that lets me watch/chat while there doing my car, dont trust no fucker! the moment you give an apprentice or something some thing half quick there gonna instantly rag it, esecially if it aint theres!

one thing i would make sure is that its fixed and painted at a proper crash repair center not just bodged by the garage so that it doesnt cost them much to repair

Service etc or atleast the plug change was free.
You're getting a 172 bumper, and the other bits sorted. Leaving the car in no doubt better condition.
They've gave you a car; So you're not at any loss.
Wouldn't bother me in the slightest, least its all taken care of.

unless you're standing there watching them, i can imagine a lot of mechanics drive the knackers off their customers' cars if given a chance.

good point mate really i mean accidents happen and thats what insurance is for i mean we can all slate the said mechanic but none of us were there i mean there could have bin spilt diesel on road. I mean yeah i can understand you bein pissed off i think most people would cause of damage but'll soon be sorted

i'm a mechanic and i wouldn't say i rag arse off customers cars and neither do any work colleagues drivings jus part of job tbh and if i lost my lisence i would loode my job and thats the same with many mechanics
